Trying out some random encounter tables for the dungeon.

Level 1: Dungeon Level

Repopulation Faction: the Deep Druids

It’s not clear how these creepy cultists find their way into the dungeon, but they sure waste no time filling it with all kinds of gross plants and bugs. Poisonous fungi, yellow mold (see Dungeon Hazards in the DMG), nasty giant insects, evil trees, and weird stick effigies start showing up everywhere. And on a full moon they dance naked in their secret sanctum, around an underground Gulthias treant that looks a little bit like Halaster.

1 illusionist*, using a clever combination of spells to look like a pair of elder warrior vampires.

Pibbe & Groin (p14)

2 bandits, 1 actual vampire spawn (the old double cross!)

1 mind flayer

1 grick alpha

1 druid and 1 cult fanatic. Each rides a giant spider which is surrounded by a swarm of regular-sized spiders. Ick.
